Cars in. Invoices out. Customers back.
Mech Central runs the office side of a mechanical workshop: bookings, every car's history by rego, quotes the customer approves on their phone, invoices with the photos on them, and the reminders that bring the car back in six months.

Workshop charges
Stop running the shop from a whiteboard, an invoice book and your memory.
Search any rego and see every service, invoice, photo and note for the car.
Send quotes and invoices the customer opens on their phone — and pays.
Let the reminders bring the car back instead of hoping the owner remembers.
The workshop loop
How a car moves through Mech Central.
Six steps, in the order they happen on the floor. Each one hands to the next without retyping anything.
01
Booked
From your page's booking form or a phone call. The car's rego and history come with it.
02
On the hoist
Today's board shows what is in, what is waiting on parts and what is ready — job number or not.
03
Quoted
Labour at your rates, parts at RRP, sections the customer can read. They approve from their phone.
04
Photographed
Old part next to new part. Taken at the car, queued if there is no signal, shown on the invoice.
05
Invoiced
Rego, odometer and vehicle on the page. Sent as a link. Paid before the keys are handed back.
06
Reminded
The service you invoiced sets the next one. Six months later a text goes out with the rego in it.
Everything included
Built for the workshop floor, not adapted to it.
One plan, every feature, the whole team. Nothing is held back for a higher tier.

Service reminders that actually bring cars back
Most workshops know reminders work and most workshops do not send them. Here is how to set them up so they run without you, and what to put in them so people reply.

What goes on a mechanic's invoice in Australia
An invoice is a legal document, a tax record and your best defence in a dispute. Here is what belongs on a workshop invoice and why.
Straight answers
Questions workshops ask first.
Is Mech Central the same as TradeCentral?+
Same Australian platform, same company, same price. Mech Central is the workshop-only front door: every account created here is a mechanic account, with vehicles, rego search, service reminders and inspections switched on from the start. One login works on both sites.
Do I need a credit card to start?+
No. The first month is free with the whole app included. After that it is $49.99 a month for the whole workshop, paid by bank transfer, and you can stop any time.
Does it send SMS reminders?+
Yes. Reminders go by email by default and by SMS once you switch texting on in Settings. Every text ends with 'Reply STOP to opt out', and a STOP reply is honoured across every record holding that number.
Can my staff log in?+
Yes — unlimited logins at no extra cost. You choose which accounts can see prices, profit and revenue.
Can I bring my existing customer list?+
Yes. Import from Excel or CSV, up to 5,000 rows per file. Vehicles link to their owners automatically by phone number and name.
Does it issue roadworthy certificates?+
No. Roadworthy and safety certificates are issued under each state's licensed-tester scheme through its own system. Mech Central produces the inspection report you give the customer, and can invoice it.
Does it work on my phone?+
Yes. It runs in the browser and installs to the home screen like an app. Photos taken with no reception queue and upload later.
Where is my data?+
On secured Australian-operated infrastructure with encrypted transport, access controls and regular backups. You own your data and can ask for it, or for your account to be deleted, at any time.
Free for a month
Put one real car through it.
Set-up takes about two minutes. Book a car, quote it, photograph it, invoice it and let the reminder bring it back. The first month is free, so it costs nothing to find out.
